A returning overseas Filipino worker has recently gone viral after revealing how he experienced a well-organized system for Filipinos who are arriving from various countries in the middle of a pandemic.
Jerry Luarez Duenas wrote on a Facebook post that he is one of the OFWs who has experienced the new and improved system at the Philippines’ Ninoy Aquino International Airport when he decided to leave Kuwait for good under President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.
“Simula sa pagbaba mo ng airport, lahat naka asikaso sila OWWA [Overseas Workers Welfare Administration] at task-force hanggang sa pag-uwi mo ng probinsya, hanggang sa Cantilan kung saan na naka quarantine,” Duenas said.
He advised that those who are planning to go back to the Philippines must bring more patience as they will need to queue and write several forms along the way.
“Wala akong ginastos kahit piso galing Manila to Cantilan. Kaya mga OFW na nagtatanong sa akin, ayan na ang kasagutan kaya kung gusto niyo umuwi, huwag mabahala. Iba ang tatak [fist bump],” he added.
