PCR test in Philippines costs around Php5,000

All Filipinos who are planning to go back to Dubai or just visit are required to present Covid-19 negative polymerase chain reaction test (PCR) test result before they’re allowed to board the aircraft.

The rule, which has been posted on the Emirates airline’s website, notes that the test validity must be 96 hours before departure from the airport of origin.

Dubai is accepting the PCR test as it is taunted to have the most accurate test for Covid-19.

Just recently, more than 100 Filipinos bound for Dubai have not been allowed to board as they failed to present a certificate.

PCR test cost

An OFW who is traveling back to Dubai today told The Global Filipino Magazine (TGFM) that getting tested for Covid-19 (PCR test) and getting the negative certificate cost around Php5,000 or AED371.

She took the test at the Chinese General Hospital last Monday and received the result a day after.

As reported previously, Dubai authorities say that returning expats and international tourists must be tested in government-affiliated Covid-19 laboratories.
