1-month grace period for tourist visas in UAE likely to be renewed after Aug 11

-

Visit visa holders in the UAE are only given a month to leave the country or change their visa status under a new amended resolution.

They have one month to leave as of July 12 to avoid fines as per the new rule of Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA). The 30th day would be ok August 10.

In a new announcement made this week, it seems like the one-month grace period for tourist visa holders might be renewed one more time after August 11.

“The grace period is renewable one time by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), after which the entry permit and visit visa holder need to exit the country,” the circular stated.
