Sen. Bong Go trends globally; thousands of curses thrown out at the senator

-

Thousands of curses have been thrown at the Philippine Senator Bong Go using #TanginaMoBongGo after the latter asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate social media posts critical of him.

“We wrote letters to the NBI requesting them to conduct investigations on certain social media posts that may fall under possible violations of the cybercrime law, particularly libel, and other applicable laws,” Go said on Thursday, July 16.

Few hours after he asked the NBI to look after a netizen who share a post critical of him, the #TanginaMoBongGo topped Twitter Philippine’s trending list and 25th on global Twitter.

The online community was quick to ridicule the senator for being thin skin.
