Korean embassy in Philippines stops accepting new visa application ‘until further notice’


The Korean Embassy in the Philippines will stop accepting new visa applications until further notice with exceptions to visa for diplomatic, official, seamen, spouse and child of Korean national.

Effective July 20, the South Korean government will also require all foreigners, including transfer passengers, arriving in South Korea to present a negative Covid-19 PCR test result issued within 48 hours before flight departure time by one of the hospitals designated by the embassy.

The certificate must be shown at the time of check-in at the airport and upon the time of arrival at the quarantine authority in Korea.
