With new confirmed cases reported in Asia and the Pacific on Saturday, July 18, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that the total number of Filipinos abroad infected by Covid-19 has breached the 9,000-mark.
Of the total number–9,001–over 1,400 are verified by the Department of Health IHR; 3,000 are undergoing treatment, 5321 have recovered, and 634 have succumbed to the disease.
DFA reminds Filipinos abroad to continuously cooperate with local health authorities as they work altogether and take proactive action in fighting against and preventing the spread of the pandemic.
