A returning OFW in La Union is in critical condition after the vehicle that fetched her at the border of her province and Pangasinan met with a traffic accident on July 18.
The OFW was identified as Maricris Padilla who was on board a van with a municipal employee and a driver.
According to The Manila Bulletin report, the municipal employee and the driver fetched Padilla at the border of La Union-Pangasinan.
As they go back to her house, a motorcycle from the opposite direction hugged the van’s lane, prompting the driver to veery sharply to avoid a collision. However, the van hit a concrete fence.
Meanwhile, the municipal employee was declared dead-on-arrival while the van driver and Padilla sustained severe injuries.
