Biker in Dubai dies after hitting a lamppost

A biker in Dubai was pronounced dead after losing control over his vehicle and hitting the pavement and hitting a lampost. 

According to a Dubai Police official, the incident happened on Sunday at 3am on Al Thowima Street in Al Barsha area. He was transferred to a hospital nearby but succumbed to the severe injuries he sustained in the accident. 

In a separate accident, another biker has been seriously injured at 3:15am on the same day on Emirates Road towards Abu Dhabi. 

“A motorbike crashed into a heavy vehicle. He was seriously injured,” the official told Gulf News. 

The staff at the Al Rashidiya Police Station and ambulance staff were rushing to the scene to send the biker to a hospital.
