Twenty-five more locally-stranded individuals (LSIs) at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila have tested positive for Covid-19.
Transportation Assistant Secretary Eymard Eje told ABS-CBN News that the Covid-19 positive LSIs have already been transferred to an isolation facility to be treated.
Meanwhile, about 70 LSI have been isolated in a separate area after being exposed to Covid-19 patients.
According to Eje, they are set to relocate to a different facility later.
Some 2,000 LSIs are currently stranded in the stadium and several netizens have already called out the government as social distancing is not being observed.
More than 4,000 LSIs have already been sent to their provinces as claimed by Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Ano.
He said that they’re hoping to send the remaining LSI to their respective provinces by Thursday.
