AED3,000 or P40,000 fine for traveling more than three people in vehicle in UAE

- Advertisment -

Social distancing is a must in the UAE be it in private or public areas.

The authorities have reminded residents to observe social distancing even if they’re driving their private vehicles outside.

As clarified by the National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) on June 25 via Gulf News, a maximum of three people only is allowed to travel in a car at the same time, with the exception of members of the same family.

“If there is more than one person in a car, masks must be worn at all times,” NCEMA said.

Currently, the authorities haven’t set restrictions on how many family members of the same family can travel in the vehicle. However, of the passengers are not from the same family, a maximum limit of three people in the vehicle is only allowed.

Violators of the social distancing within vehicles or found outside without a face mask would be fined AED3,000 and above.
