Malacanang no plans yet in terminating PhilHealth’s Morales despite corruption issue

- Advertisment -

President Rodrigo Duterte has no plans yet in terminating PhilHealth President Ricardo Morales despite the alleged corruption issue.

According to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said that Duterte is still waiting for ‘evidence’ in the alleged corruption claimed by former PhilHealth employee.

Roque added that it’s up to Morales if he takes a vacation while the senate and Office of the Special Assistant to the President launched an investigation.

“That’s really up to him. I’m not in a position to tell him what to do. The president has said that he will not fire him unless there’s evidence and I think the Senate now is in the process of documenting this evidence, at the same time there’s also parallel investigation being conducted by Usec Quitain,” he added.
