Confirmed: All travelers flying from Dubai to Philippines need to wear face shields

- Advertisment -

A Philippine-based airline confirmed that all travelers flying from Dubai to Manila are mandated to wear face shields throughout the entire flight starting August 15.

“In line with directives issued by the Philippine government, Cebu Pacific, the Philippine’s largest national flag carrier, is making it compulsory for all passengers — including travelers flying from Dubai-Manila route — to wear face shields throughout the entire flight, effective August 15, 20202,” the statement read.

This new rule is on top of the mandatory use of face masks upon entering the Dubai Airport terminal until the arrival of passengers at their destination.

The Philippine Airlines (PAL) hasn’t made an announcement yet regarding the new rule.

Philippine’s President Rodrigo Duterte placed Metro Manila and four nearby provinces under the modified enhanced quarantine or MECQ or strict stay at home orders until August 18.

So far, the country’s Covid-19 cases have been rapidly increasing with over 100,000 confirmed cases.
