The Philippine Airline (PAL), in a circular, informed Dubai passengers that the August 13 flight via PR659 will be diverted to Cebu instead of Manila.
All passengers will undergo the required Covid-19 testing in Cebu rather than in Manila and will be quarantined at a Cebu hotel accredited by the Philippine Health and Tourism authorities.
“Once you receive a negative test result (minimum 48 hours), PAL will fly you from Cebu to Manila at no extra charge. Please note that the cost of the Covid-19 tests and the quarantine hotel will be borne by the traveler, (except that, of overseas Filipino workers [OFWs], the government will shoulder the cost of test and accommodation,” the statement read.

For non-OFWs, they are required to book a quarantine hotel prior to departure from Dubai at least two nights before departure.
“All international passengers arriving in Cebu are required to register online not earlier than five (days) prior to their flight departure via the Mactan International Airport (MCIA) Passenger Arrival Registration Form,” the circular added.
