Philippines issues statement on historical UAE-Israel peace treaty

The Department of Foreign Affairs in the Philippines welcomed the normalization of relations between the UAE and Israel. 

“The Philippines welcomes this historic agreement that will normalize the relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The Philippines hopes that the agreement brokered by the United States will contribute to international peace and security especially in the Middle East,” the statement read. 

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, US President Donald J. Trump, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel spoke on Thursday has agreed to the full normalization of relations between Israel and the UAE.
