Former overseas Filipino worker in UAE Sarah Balabagan has revealed in a Facebook live that the father of her firstborn is the GMA broadcaster Arnold Clavio.

She made the live Facebook video after the issue resurfaced due to post that is making the rounds online.

“Ang ama po ng panganay ko ay yes, si Arnold Clavio. Siya po ang ama. It’s God’s will ng Panginoon [na gawin ko ito] para maitama ko na yung mga dapat itama, ang maituwid ang dapat maituwid,” she said.

Balabagan met the Kapuso broadcaster as he covered the murder case in the 90s. She was jailed in UAE for stabbing her employer to death after he tried to rape her. She was just 14.

She was sentenced to death at first but was reduced to a year’s imprisonment and 100 cane stroke, along with the payment of blood money sponsored by a Filipino businessman.

Balabagan returned to the Philippines. She recalled that Arnold gave her first tour in Manila. They had a relationship in 1996, she claimed.

“Noon umuwi ako sa Pilipinas, isa po siya sa mga nag-cover ng kaso ko. In fact, naging exclusive pa nga niya [ang story],” she further revealed.

Their relationship was kept secret. She ended their secret romance when she became a Christian.

She added that Clavio’s wife has reached out to forgive her. In her Facebook live, she apologized to all parties concerned for the pain their affair caused.
