Dubai has jailed a 38-year-old Asian man for sexually assaulting a Filipina waitress, 30, in Dubai International City.
The authorities in the emirate found out that the man who groped the lady was on a visit visa.
On the ruling of the Dubai Court of Instance on Tuesday, August 25, he was found guilty of sexual assault and will be deported after serving his jail term.
According to a report published on Expat Media, the man was drunk when he groped the Filipina woman. He was also referred to the Court of Misdemeanors to face a separate charge of consuming alcohol without a permit.
The waitress was reportedly walking home from work around 2 am when she was accosted by the man.
“He suddenly came close and groped me. I got scared and ran away,” she said.
