The barangay captain and treasurer who were caught having sex on the Zoom meeting have already resigned from their posts on Wednesday.

Jorge Magno, president of the Association of Barangay Captains in Dasmarinas, confirmed that the two public officials, who are both married, resigned.

“Nag-resign na po, sa ikakatahimik ng lahat. Humingi naman po si barangay chairman ng pasensya at pang-unawa,” Magno told dzBB.

The Zoom meeting was called on to discuss measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

The two public officials did not immediately notice that their cameras were open.
