Building in Abu Dhabi destroyed; loud explosion and vibrations heard

Netizens in the capital are posting photos of a shattered building at the Airport Road in Abu Dhabi. 

Netizens claim that the explosion took place near the KFC building in the area. 

The patrol cars can be seen restricting access to the site. 

According to the people near the area, they heard a loud explosion and vibration in their building that woke them up. 

Officials are currently investigating the situation as of this writing and no official statement was made yet.
