Philippine Airlines brings home remains of 72 OFWs from Middle East

Philippine Airlines has recently brought the remains of 72 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including those who died from Covid-19. 

PAL chartered flight PR-8683 arrived from Dammam at around 10 am att he Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2. 

Of the 72 remains, 62 of them are Filipinos who died of Covid-19 while the other 10 died of other causes. 

The flight, which was organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), flew to the Saudi cities of Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, to retrieve 19, 15, and 36 remains, respectively.
