European woman on trial for spitting at Dubai police

- Advertisment -

Two expats in Dubai are currently on trial for assaulting a Dubai police and verbally abusing him.

The police was reportedly responding to a complaint about loud music from the defendant’s apartment when the assault happened.

According to a Khaleej Times report, the Court of First Instance heard that a 38-year-old European woman, a manager, and her friend, a 34-year-old Arab employee, treated the police with contempt.

The European woman spat on the officer while the man insulted him. The Arab man also threatened to get the officer terminated because he knew ‘VVIPs’.

“The watchman told me the disturbance was happening at an apartment on the fourth floor. The female accused opened the door for us and she verbally abused me. She spat on my face and was about to shut the door after I told her to calm down,” the Dubai police said.
