As the country sees a daily increase in Covid-19 cases, the management of the Filipino Institute has decided to cancel the physical graduation on Friday, September 18 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Deira, Dubai. It will, however, be done virtually on the same date and time.

“While we know this is disappointing, we hope you understand the steps we’re taking to help our graduates, guests, and employees safe,” Mr. Gabriel John Rimando, the Founder and President of the Filipino Institute and Publisher of The Global Filipino Magazine, said in a statement addressed to the trainers and students.

The virtual graduation can be watched on the Filipino Institute Facebook page or at its YouTube channel.

The training facility will also be processing refunds for everyone who paid the graduation fees.

“If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with the admin of your WhatsApp group,” he added.

Rimando added that a photoshoot will be organized for students who wish to have a photograph wearing the toga.

“The students can go to Dubai campus if they wish to,” he further added.
