A 31-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) based in Ajman is being searched by his family in the Philippines as the former has been ‘missing’ for a year now.

Jan Mark C. Murillon arrived in the UAE in January 2019 to work as an electrical inspector in Ajman. According to his wife, Michelle Murillo, his contract was supposed to finish in January 2021.

The wife told The Filipino Times that he has been in constant communication with her husband until October 2, 2019–supposedly the last time she was able to talk to him.

“Huli po naming pag-uusap ang sabi niya ay tumaas daw po ang blood sugar niya,” she added.

In September last year, Jan mentioned to her that he was feeling feverish and sick, experiencing back pain, cough, and clogged nose.

From there, the entire family has not heard anything from them. Michelle further added that it was difficult for them to locate him as they do not know anyone else in the country whom they can ask about Jan’s whereabouts.

“At least one year na siyang missing. Nag-alala na kasi kami baka ano na nangyari sa kanya. Sobrang layo kasi at walang mapagtanugan. Ang anak niya po sobrang lungkot sa pagkawala nang papa niya. Di na kasi ma contact,” she said.

If you know Jan’s whereabouts, please send a message to +63 951 843 3342.
