Are you still stuck outside UAE? Then you need to register here

- Advertisment -

Several residents with valid residence visa are still stuck outside the country. Due to the Covid-19 situation, a set of requirement was in place for returning residents.

Just recently, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) announced an initiative to facilitate the return of 200,000 people.

The initiative is being coordinated between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and ICA.

Those who are still stuck outside the country still need to fill out an online form that can be found on ICA’s website under ‘Residents Outside the UAE–Entry Permission’.

Returning residents are urged not to book any flights unless the application has been approved and they receive an approval number.

Below are the steps to fill the application:

Step 1: Fill out the application form

You need to enter your Emirates ID number, passport number, nationality, date of birth, and mobile number.

Step 2: Uploading documents

Applicants need to upload the following documents:

1. Colored photograph

2. UAE residence visa copy

3. Passport copy

4. Proof doe the visit reason outside the UAE (must be a letter from the work organization, educational organization, medical organization, or the flight tickets in case the reason is tourism)

5. Tickets to the UAE (optional)

Applicants will receive a draft number just in case the web page restarts or if it gets stuck due to technical errors.

No fees will be needed to apply for the application.

Step 3: Review application and submit

Once everything is completed, applicants will receive a tracking number on the email that they’ve used to register.

You will need to wait for your application to be approved.

If you face problems submitting your application, you may speak to a customer service representative of ICA at +971600522222
