A new rule for all passengers arriving in the UAE has been introduced as part of the country’s effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Passengers via Etihad will now be required to wear a tracking wristband during the 14-day quarantine period.
“On arrival into Abu Dhabi, you must self-isolate for 14 days. Self-isolation must take place at home and you will be required to wear a medically approved wristband for the duration. The wristband will be provided by the authorities at Abu Dhabi Airport after you clear immigration,” the Abu Dhabi carrier said in an updated post on its website.
Passengers holding a diplomatic passport or under the age of 18 or over 60, or suffering from chronic disease will be exempt from wearing the wristband.
