Family events in UAE should not have more than 10 people in attendance

- Advertisment -

The authorities in the UAE clarified that not more than 10 people can attend a family event, including the funeral procession, in the country.

The safety guidelines were recently announced by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).

A ‘family event’ should only be restricted to first-degree relatives.

In a series of tweets, NCEMA suggested that all attendees of the event be tested for Covid-19 at least 24 hours before the event.

While disposable plates and cups shall be used for dining, buffets are still strictly prohibited.

Other safety measures include disinfecting surfaces periodically, observing social distancing protocols, and anyone with Covid-19 symptoms must be warned against attending an event.
