A 28-year-old man has used Covid-19 in an effort to escape his legal wife and be with another girl.

As reported by republicworld.com, Navi Mumbai of Mahashtra in India told his wife that he was afflicted with the deadly coronavirus and was planning to end his life.

Instead of taking his own life, his wife found him living with his girlfriend from another state a month after he went missing.

Mumbai called his wife on July 24 only to inform his wife he got the virus and was ready to end his life.

The wife, citing the police report, got alarmed and informed her brother and filed a missing person complaint.

Police then searched at various Covid-19 care centers believing his claims that he had the virus. Thought to be murdered, Mumba’s belongings, including his motorbike, wallet, were scattered in a street.

The police located the man living with his girlfriend in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
