345,000 used condoms being ‘re-sold’ for public confiscated by police

Vietnam authorities have recently confiscated an estimated 345,000 used condoms which were cleaned and resold as new to the public. 

According to Vietnam Television (VTV), the police seized dozens of bags containing the used contraceptives. In the footage, it shows the used condoms scattered across the floor of a warehouse in the southern province of Binh Duong. 

The police have reportedly seized bags weighing more than 360 kilograms or equivalent to 345,000 condoms. 

The warehouse owner was quoted as saying by state newspaper Toui Tre that had received a monthly input of used condoms from an unknown person.

According to a woman that was arrested by the police authorities, the used condoms were boiled first in water then dried and reshaped on a wooden phallus before being repackaged and resold. 

VTV said it was not sure how many used condoms have neem resold to the public.
