A 29-year-old father in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County in Pennsylvania was detained after raping and killing his own 10-month-old daughter.

Austin Stevens is facing the following charges: aggravated sexual assault, rape of a child, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and other criminal cases.

Citing reports, responders checked on his residence after receiving a call about an unresponsive baby. The medical responders have immediately conducted CPR to the unresponsive baby and brought to the nearest hospital.

According to police reports, she was declared dead after two hours.

Before calling 911, the police found him multiple searches including ‘If baby stops breathing’, ‘What if you don’t hear baby heart or beat,’ ‘My baby isn’t breathing’ and ‘How do you know if a baby is dead?’

The investigators said that the diaper was saturated with blood and the baby sustained anal trauma and head injury.

“This case is deeply disturbing. It is hard to imagine this child’s death being any traumatic: sexual assault on an infant, followed by inaction by the father to save her life, led to her death,” Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said.

Stevens is currently detained in the county jail and has a $1million bail.
