As Covid-19 cases in Oman soar high, the country will reimpose a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of the disease.
The curfew timings, which take effect from 8pm to 5pm, will start on October 24.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP), in an effort to limit the spread of Covid-19, also started locking beaches and monitor people’s adherence to the ban on movement.
The curfew timing is set ‘until further notice.’
Only the following sectors will be allowed to operate during the period: emergency vehicles (electricity, water, telecom), consumer item supply vehicles, fish transport vehicle, oil and gas tankers and trucks carrying containers with the purpose of import and export to and from the country’s ports and official checkpoints provided only the driver will be onboard.
