Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has temporarily suspended its Covid-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials due to an explained illness in study participants.

In a statement, the company said that the participant’s illness is being reviewed and evaluated by an independent data and safety monitoring board as well as their clinical and safety physicians.

J&J said that the pause is normal in big trials which include a large number of respondents.
