196 days after living in earth’s orbit, NASA astronaut safely returns

- Advertisment -

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) astronaut Chris Cassidy is back to earth after living and working in Earth’s orbit for 196 days.

As shared by NASA on their Instagram account, Cassidy has safely returned from his third space mission on Wednesday. He was with cosmonauts Ivan Vagner and Anatoly Ivanishin.

During his stay in the earth’s orbit, Cassidy was able to complete four spacewalks and has contributed to hundreds of experiments.

“Another fun fact is that he has spent the fifth-highest total amount of days in space among US astronauts at 378 days. What a ride,” NASA wrote.
