A new report suggests that UAE residents feel safe, secure, and have confidence in police authorities.
The country has been included in the list of top 10 countries with the highest law and order index score. The poll was made by Gallup for the 2020 Global Law and Order report.
The composite score was based on residents’ confidence in the local police, their feelings of personal safety, and incidents of theft, assault, or mugging in the past year.
The index score for the UAE in 2019 was 92. Singapore topped the list with a score of 97, while Afghanistan scored a low of 43 rankings alone as the lowest in the world for two consecutive years.
Meanwhile, countries are also ranked where people feel the safest walking alone. UAE scored 92, Kuwait 90, and Saudi Arabia 88.
