Artist sells original paintings to rebuild house after super typhoon destroyed it

An artist based in Albay is selling her remaining two artworks online which proceeds will be used to rebuild their house that was destroyed by super typhoon Rolly this week. 

In a Facebook post by Tin Barcoma, she said that it was really difficult for her to let her artworks, however, as their shelter was completely destroyed by the typhoon, she has to sell it. 

“Proceeds will be used to build our house again in Bicol that was completely destroyed by Typhoon Rolly,” she wrote.

The super typhoon has battered the Bicol area with some areas being on Signal number 5. 

More than 10 residents have died due to the typhoon, and thousands are left homeless.
