A group of Filipinos in Dubai has recently launched an initiative to help their kababayans who were affected by the super typhoon Rolly in Tiwi, Albay.
Spearheaded by Dubai-based Clarice Reyes, the ‘Project Help Tiwi Bicol’ aims to supply victims of the super typhoon with essential needs such as toiletries, canned goods, toothpaste, soap, noodles, used clothes, among others.
“Let’s share our blessings this coming Christmas even in a little way. Always remember you are blessed to bless others,” she wrote on her Facebook account.
Earlier this week during the super typhoon, a few barangays in Tiwi have experienced a storm surge that completely washed out their shelters.
Less than three hours after typhoon Rolly made its landfall in Bato Catanduanes, it made a second landfall in Tiwi.
