PH gov’t thanks UAE for AED35-million aid for those affected by typhoon Rolly

- Advertisment -

The Philippine government thanked the UAE for the AED35-million humanitarian for those affected by super typhoon Rolly.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces made the announcement on November 3, just two days after the first landfall of the super typhoon in the Bicol area.

The super typhoon was considered as category 5 as it was considered the strongest storm this year.

“The Philippines conveys its sincerest thanks to the government of the UAE for the kin and rapid humanitarian assistance coursed through the Philippine Red Cross to support Filipinos affected by the devastation wrought by Typhoon Rolly. The kind gesture will be remembered as a gesture from the heart of a caring nation that is the UAE, a true and reliable friend of the Philippines,” the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) wrote in a statement.
