- Advertisment -

More than 30,000 men and women working in the Armed Forces in UAE have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to keep them safe from infections.

Those who received the vaccine included military contractors and national service recruits.

Brig. Gen. Dr. Aisha Al Dhaheri, commander of the medical service corps, said that the personnel has been on the frontline of the country’s fight against the virus as they deliver critical supplies, transport critically ill patients to hospitals, among others.

“We used military personnel for case detection by creating five screening centres. We also supported the vaccination trials for the UAE,” she said.
