As the government of the UAE extended the visa fine waiver until the end of December 2020, a top official from the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates urged Filipinos to follow the new guidelines.
To my Kabayans — please heed. I urge all my fellow Filipinos to keep abreast of the latest immigration deadlines. https://t.co/ZaaVOq2u8q— CG Paul Cortes (@cgpaulpcortes) November 17, 2020
“To my kabayans–please heed. I urge all my fellow Filipinos to keep abreast of the latest immigration deadline,” Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes posted on his Twitter account.
People who have overstayed their visas in the UAE will only have until December 31 to exit the country. They will not incur any fine if they exit before the set deadline.
All penalties and restrictions involving Emirates ID and work permits will also be lifted.
