Hours after his late televised speech, President Rodrigo Duterte has trended once again on Twitter accompanying the #NasiraanAngPangulo hashtag.
Duterte on Tuesday night made misogynistic remarks against Vice President Leni Robredo, threatened to get in the way of the vice president if she decides to seek the presidency in 2022, and accused the latter of lying to the Filipino people for making it appear that he was missing in action while Filipinos experienced the wrath of a super typhoon.
“Next time, do not make a mistake or I’ll be forced to insult you because you are playing too much. Nagpapa-beauty ka. It’s not time for you. During the campaign, papaalis na ako. Sige subukan mo. Matagal na ako maraming gusto sabihin sayo. Ireserba ko. When you start your campaign pag magtakbo ka ng presidente, waswasan kita nang husto. This is your nightmare,” he said.
While Typhoon Ulysses was battering the Philippines, the hashtag #NassanAngPangulo trended on social media.
A few days after, just after his address which was meant to discuss the government response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent spate of typhoons, the #NasiraanAngPangulo has trended number one on Twitter.
Rant all you want you manipulative sadboii, but us Cagayanos have seen how Leni Robredo's office has assisted our province from night 1 until now. #DuterteMeltdown#NasiraanAngPangulo#NasaPusoKoAngPangulo— ???? #BANGONCAGAYAN (@aestheticzach_) November 17, 2020
First of all given the fact that in a war you don't give orders on the day of the battle. As a leader, you are obliged to give the orders BEFORE the WAR. In this case, you failed to be one, you went to the war unequip and your soldiers have died.#NasiraanAngPangulo https://t.co/eHPZETqy7p— A L (@Al_Prosecutor) November 17, 2020
