A doctor in Abu Dhabi was ordered to pay AED100,000 as compensation for medical errors during the operation.

The patient was suffering from a heart problem. He had to undergo a second operation in his home country.

The unnamed patient went to a hospital in the capital as he was feeling unwell and suffering from chest pain. The doctor suggested an operation after examining him.

However, the condition of the patient didn’t improve even after the operation. He then visited a hospital in his home country where he felt the chest pain again.

The doctors in his country told him that there was an error incurred by the doctor in Abu Dhabi and was recommended to undergo a second operation.

According to a Khaleej Times report, the Misdemeanour Court in the capital convicted the hospital and the doctor due to the negligence committed.

The patient filed a civil lawsuit against the hospital and the doctor for demanding compensation for moral and material damages.
