Chilling! South Korea started to use AI robots as TV news anchor

- Advertisment -

South Korea has become the first country in the world to use artificial intelligence (AI) news anchor.

As announced by South Korea’s media outfit MBN News, they have recently collaborated with AI tech company MoneyBrain to come up with an AI news anchor, which was based on South Korean actor Kim Joo-ha.

As reported by AsiaOne, the AI has the voice of the actress, including her tone, facial expression, and gestures.

According to an MBN News employee, the AI anchor read all the content after they upload the subtitles and videos, allowing the anchor to present it on air. He added that in this way, news delivery will be faster and more effective, saving time and resources in one take.
