Dubai renames 5 Dubai metro stations; Al Fahidi Station now called Sharaf DG

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai announced on Tuesday that they will be renaming five Dubai Metro stations. 

The changes are in line with the process of restructuring the naming rights strategy. 

The following stations will be renamed to: 

-From Al Fahidi Metro Station (Green Line) to Sharaf DG Metro Station 

-From Frist Abu Dhabi Bank Metro Station (Red Line) to Umm Al Sheef Metro Station

-From Noor Bank Metro Station (Red Line) to Al Safa Metro Station

-From Damac Metro Station (Red Line) to Dubai Marina Metro Station 

-Nakheel Metro Station (Red Line) to Al Khail Metro Station

Starting today, November 25, until February 2021, the traffic authority will be finalizing the renaming procedure.
