Authorities in the UAE have reminded the public that all visa violators, including those on visit or tourist visas, must leave the country before December 31, 2020, to avoid fines.
The is applied to people who have been illegally staying in the UAE after their visas–visit, tourist, or residency–expired before March 1, 2020.

Citing the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), holders of the expired visit or tourist visas before March 1, 2020, should book a ticket with a departure date before December 21, 2020, to avoid fines.
If a visit or tourist visa violator is leaving from Dubai Airports, he or she needs to report to the Dubai Civil Aviation Security Centre 48 hours before the departure time to be exempted from overstay fines.
Meanwhile, if one is traveling from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah airports, he or she needs to arrive at the airport six hours before the departure time.
