A Reddit user in Dubai is warning online buyers against an app link that prompts them to install it and allegedly breach one’s mobile phone.
“Dubizzle Scam Warning!! SMS sends you a link to one of your ads and asks you to download the app (I already have the app). It’s a fake app designed to breach your phone,” u/fuckst1ck1 shared on Dubai subreddit.

His post is coupled with two screenshots showing an SMS coming from a mobile user that has a ‘please confirm delivery’ message. It has a link that when clicked, according to the sharer, will be prompted to install the app via a non-Play Store app.
The screenshot from the Android phone shows a warning: “This type of file can harm your device. Do you want to keep dubizzle.apk anyway?”
