Reminder: Visa violators in UAE must leave before December 31 to avoid fines

- Advertisment -

The end is near for visa violators in the UAE.

Those who are illegally staying in the country after their visas expired before March 1, 2020, and have sponsored dependents should leave the country accompanied by their dependents before December 31, 2020, in order for them to avoid incurring any fines.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) said that the deadline applies to people who have expired visit, tourist, or residency visa.

Meanwhile, residence visa violators must have a passport or travel document and book a ticket with a departure date before the expiry of the grace period on December 31, 2020.

Visa violators who are planning to go back to their home country must reach the airport four hours before the departure time to be exempted from all accumulated visa fines after the authority cancels administrative restrictions and the residence visa.
