A mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac have died in the hands of a policeman who shot them in broad daylight over what appeared to be a personal argument.
In the video that was widely shared on social media, it shows Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca shooting the heads of civilians Frank Anthony Gregorio, 25, and his mother Sonya Gregorio, 52.
The mother was seen hugging her son and preventing him from fighting back at the angry policeman outside their home in Purok 2, Brgy. Cabayaoasan in Paniqui, Tarlac at around 5pm on Sunday, December 20.
The policeman’s daughter can be seen in the video, shouting the words ‘My father is a policeman!’
Filipinos took to social media to condemn the abuse of power.

If the police are supposed "to serve and protect" bakit nanginginig ako sa takot kapag may pulis sa vicinity kahit wala naman akong ginagawang mali?

To kill someone that quickly, without hesitation, and for something that's so unreasonable. My god. This isn't an isolated thing. A cascade of wrongdoings led to this. It's an entire system that's the problem.
