5.7% or half a million Israeli residents received Covid-19 vaccine in 9 days

- Advertisment -

In just nine days into its Covid-19 vaccination, Israel has already inoculated 5.7 percent of its population or half of its entire population. The data is more than five times the 1.2 percent reached in Britain.

More Israelis have been vaccinated than those who have caught the deadly virus.

“It’s really being treated like a war. . . and Israel is experienced in battles,” Professor Allon Moses, Director of the Hadassah Medical Organization’s Department of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.

The country has ordered eight million doses of the Pfizer vaccination, enough to inoculate four million of its 9.25 million population.

Israel has also made an agreement with Moderna, and expected to receive six million doses ‘earlier than April’.

The vaccination campaign has kicked off last December 20.
