UAE administers over 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine

The authorities in the UAE announced that they have already administered more than one million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to their residents as of Sunday, January 10. 

In a tweet by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), they had administered a total of 78,793 doses of the vaccine against the deadly Covid-19 yesterday. 

This takes to the total number of vaccine doses to 1.02 million, with a distribution rate of 10.32 doses per 100 people. 

The country is also planning to vaccinate over 50 percent of its citizens in the first quarter of the year. 

UAE is currently using two vaccines: the Chinese Sinopharm and Pfizer-BioNTech.
