Filipino Institute’s MBA professor revealed, has 20 years of teaching experience

The Filipino Institute has revealed its adjunct Master of Business Administration (MBA) professor who holds a post-doctoral degree in Total Quality Management in Higher Education and has almost 20 years of teaching experience both in the Philippines and abroad. 

Dr. Fermin G Castillo is known to be the youngest Filipino professor with the academic rank of Associate Professor in the UAE. He is also the first and Filipino to date to teach at the University of Sharjah and the first Filipino who completed the Case Teaching Method offered at the Harvard Business School. 

Below is a list of Dr. Castillo’s career highlights: 

– With almost 20 years of teaching experience  (Philippines and Abroad combined)
– Industry and corporate practitioner: Negros Navigation, BPI/MS, Nestle Philippines
– Holds Post Doctoral Degree in Total Quality Management in Higher Education (CEU)
– Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) one of the youngest (26 years old) Universit of City of Manila (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila)
– Candidate Ph. D. in Management UTM Malaysia 
– Youngest Filipino Professor with the academic rank of Associate Professor – UAE
– First and Only Filipino to date to teach at University of SHARJAH (AACSB) Top 3 in UAE
– First Filipino completed the Case Teaching Method offered at Harvard Business School
– One of only two Filipino professors completed the Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IE) program offered at Stanford University in coordination with MOE, UAE
– First Filipino professor in the world who won the TURNIIN Global Awards 2017 in Education, UK and recipient of other international awards in teaching, research and community service including International Educator Awards given by UNIFFIED FIL-AM, USA. 
– One of the only few professors in the world who holds professional licensed, certification and board exam in the field of education, business, quality management and information technology.
– Published more than 60 research papers and book chapters appeared in leading publication: Elsevier (SCOPUS), Thomson Reuters, IEEE, SPRINGER, Google Scholar etc.
– Participated, presented and attended in more than 150 specialized seminars, workshops, training and development and consultancy in more than 10 countries.
