Hotels in Dubai told to suspend offering brunches as gov’t tightens rules vs. social gatherings

- Advertisment -

Hotels in Dubai have been told to temporarily suspend offering Friday brunches to residents as the government further tightened the rules against social gatherings.

Dubai Tourism has reportedly sent an email to hotels and restaurants to suspend brunches, which usually have all-you-can-eat-and-drink deals and entertainment. It told managers to ‘postpone any activity that leads to large gatherings such as weekend brunches.

Meanwhile, tours and parties on the yacht were also restricted to 10 people. Previously, Dubai allows yachts to sail with 50 percent capacity.

It was already announced that hotels must operate at no more than 70 percent occupancy and no further bookings or extensions should be made.
