The Lenten season is set to start tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17. Roman catholic churches are gearing up to conduct the mass for the public in the new normal for the first day of the Lent – Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday masses in Dubai will be live-streamed at the SMC – Filipino Facebook page. According to The Filipino Times, the mass will be in English with two schedules: 6:30am and 7:00pm.

On the official website of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, it earlier announced that they will not be having the blessing and distribution of ash this year due to safety measures related to the pandemic spread.

Meanwhile, those who are not permitted to attend the in-person mass in the capital may watch the live-stream at the Katolikong Pinoy sa Abu Dhabi Facebook page. The Filipino Ash Wednesday mass will be conducted at 8pm.
